Blush and Blossoms Co. was founded by Mary Hagemeister in 2018, but her passion for flowers dates back much further.
Her business began humbly, with floral creations crafted in her kitchen for family and friends. As demand grew for her wedding florist services, she built an in-home studio, and eventually rented a small space where she could receive clients.
In the same year she started Blush & Blossoms, Mary and her husband moved to Kansas City with their 7-year-old, and learned they were expecting their second child. It was a challenging time, but it showed Mary what mattered most.
Mary’s friendliness, honesty and warmth is unmatched. She takes the time to listen to her clients and understand each bride’s unique vision and design preferences.
Blush & Blossoms has grown from humble origins as a wedding florist to one of the premier custom floral design firms in Kansas City. Mary and her team not only create sumptuous wedding florals, they also provide high-concept arrangements for boutique hotels and corporate events. Liya is a highly creative and detail-oriented designer with a deep belief that “the small things matter.” Every flower placement, no matter how subtle, contributes to the overall beauty of her designs. Liya’s goal is to create moments that leave guests in awe — where jaws drop, tears are shed, and there’s a heart-pounding sense of “this is perfect” no matter where they look.
Tish has been with Blush and Blossoms since its inception and has a hand in the overall design process and project coordination of every project. Her flawless eye for detail is invaluable.
